Vortex flowmeter is one of the mainstream flow measurement products, widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, heating and other departments to test and measure the flow of liquid, gas and steam.
A triangular column type vortex generator is set in the fluid to alternately generate regular vortices from both sides of the vortex generator. Such vortices are called Karman vortices, as shown in picture below . The rows of vortices are asymmetrically arranged in the downstream of the vortex generator. Suppose the frequency of the vortex is f, the average velocity of the measured medium is V, the width of the vortex generating body is d, and the diameter of the surface body is D, then the relation can be obtained:
